Our Commitment to You
Caro is built to bring transparency to Pakistan's used car market. These terms exist to protect you, our service, and the integrity of the platform. We've written them in plain language because we believe trust starts with clarity.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Caro mobile application ("App"), website, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email.
2. Description of Service
Caro provides a platform for Pakistani vehicle owners to log service records, capture AI‑verified odometer readings, and generate tamper‑proof vehicle history reports. The Service uses artificial intelligence (GPT‑4 Vision) to analyze uploaded odometer photos and verify authenticity.

- Public shareable vehicle reports with trust badges
- Rollback detection and anomaly alerts
3. User Accounts & Responsibilities
To use the Service, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in Pakistan) to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.
You agree to:
- Provide truthful vehicle and service information
- Not impersonate any person or entity
- Not create multiple accounts to manipulate badges or scores
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account use
4. AI Verification Disclaimer
Caro uses advanced AI (GPT‑4 Vision) to analyze odometer photos and detect anomalies. While we strive for high accuracy, AI systems are not infallible. The Service provides "Verified" badges based on algorithmic assessment, but these do not constitute a legal guarantee of accuracy.
You acknowledge that:
- AI verification is a tool, not a replacement for professional inspection
- Caro does not physically inspect vehicles
- You are ultimately responsible for verifying information when buying/selling
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- Uploading false, manipulated, or non‑odometer images to deceive the AI
- Attempting to reverse‑engineer, bypass, or interfere with the verification system
- Using automated scripts to submit data or scrape content
- Posting harmful, abusive, or fraudulent content
- Using the Service to facilitate illegal activities
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice.
6. Intellectual Property
The Caro name, logo, app design, and all original content, features, and functionality are owned by Devtine (Private) Limited and are protected by Pakistani and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to use the App for personal, non‑commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our Service without express written permission.
7. Third‑Party Links
The Service may contain links to third‑party websites or services (e.g., payment processors like JazzCash/EasyPaisa). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third‑party sites. You access such links at your own risk.
8. Payment Terms
Caro may offer premium features or subscriptions. All payments are processed through secure third‑party gateways (JazzCash, EasyPaisa, credit/debit cards). By making a payment, you agree to the terms of the respective payment provider.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case‑by‑case basis in accordance with Pakistani consumer laws.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. CARO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error‑free, or completely secure. You use the Service at your own discretion and risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARO AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
In no event shall Caro's total liability exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Caro, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third‑party rights.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Lahore, Pakistan.
Before initiating formal legal action, we encourage you to contact us first. We're committed to resolving disputes amicably.
13. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Service, legal requirements, or user feedback. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we'll provide notice via the App or email. Your continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance.
